I bought an 2015 MacBook pro back in 2017, because I didn't want to pay more for features I don't love. Like the touchbar, missing MagSafe and only usb-c ports.

The only issue I find here: none of this predicitions are of budget-ish products, if Apple focused a liitle bit more on budget side they would get to much more people. :(

Ngl whenever I feel low I watch this vid and I just remind myself that I'm gonna get a macbook this year with all these features. And then I get all hyped up and I get shit done because the relationship I share with my laptop is just beyond anyone's imagination.

Touch Bar should stay, but they should fix some issues with it, for example that certain apps overwrite your settings on it. Could be sorted with a toggle option for that or something, so we could select what apps get to overwrite it, and when, if even. Wouldn't need to throw it out, but improve on it and leave it as optional? Would make everyone happy. Maybe.

I absolutely HATE the touchbar I can't stop hitting it by mistake, especially the volume mute key. I deleted as many keys as possible from the touchbar to avoid this error!

The touch bar issue can be easily fixed by creating an enhanced touchpad peripheral with a display; basically, an app on the iPhone.

I don't understand the hate with the Touchbar. It's a row of changeable and dynamic virtual keys. if you don't like it, don't use it to it's potential and have it as if it were part of a regular keyboard. Removing it just doesn't make sense to me as it's an added convenience feature without sacrificing anything else on the laptop.

I am not going to buy any apple device any more. 1) All the MacBooks parts are solder into the boards 2)Their laptops heats up since the fan in not sitting on the CPU 3) Once you have to repair the machine you have to replace a whole part which cost like a new mac

I held off on upgrading from my late 2008 Aluminum MacBook until 2018 because I was LOATHE to give up my ESC key, but it turns out I LOVE my Touch Bar. If experience ie any indicator, they will take away my beloved Touch Bar as they did 3D Touch (which I am miserable without).

the NEW APPLE is not good for GAME PROGRAMMING. it doesn't have HDRP support. Only older models does. This new 2021 model is only good for video editing, graphics editing, desktop publishing, Web design, etc. Except for CORE GAMING and BLENDER. Ask DEALER what imac you should buy. Just tell the dealer. I'm game programmer. They are going buy older imac model that supports HDRP. HDRP looks pretty on BLENDER, UNREAL, ETC.... 2021 is only good for PHOTOSHOP.

What about the tower Mac Pro having the ability to host multiple virtual machines and all you would need is a monitor keyboard and mouse to connection for say a dozen users that connects to a KVM box that connects to the network and that would target small startup companies it would have the ability to add NAS storage it would house scalable processors and memory. I'm from the unix era and i remember dumb terminals just thinking allowed that's all...

I just ordered the new MPA with the M1 chip, I was about to cancel the order and get the MBP but seeing as there is a better one coming in 2021 I will keep the MPA because I need a new laptop right now for school but I will trade it in for the 2021 MBP when it comes out. I don't like the touchbar on the current MBP and I love the mag safe charger on my 2014 MBA so I'm looking forward to the 2021 MBP not having the touchbar and having magsafe plus the new M2 chip (I think).

the Touch Bar was a brilliant idea which was just implemented so badly. with the extra space above and below, they could have easily made it much bigger but because they didn't, it was destined to fail.
